Longer PS3 Charger Cables

The PS3 and Xbox 360 introduced us all to next-gen accessories. Wireless game pads and rechargeable packs made it much easier for hardcore gamers. BUT…are you getting tired of a strained back or numb backside while sitting on the floor, charging your PS3 pad? The answer is simple…a much longer PS3 charger cable! Microsoft’s play and charge kit offers around 2.9m of charging cable, but even though it just pips the PS3, they still may be far too short for many gamers living rooms or bedrooms (remember that HD TV’s are now HUGE so you should be sitting at a sensible distance). This means that without some form of extended PS3 Charger cable, many gamers will still be playing on the floor. Not good. Not everyone likes to leave their pad to charge (especially when you have to leave your PS3 on!) and sods law will make the PS3 pad low on juice when starting that new game or encountering that uber boss. If like us, you’re frustrated with back sprains, neck sprains (most common among floor-playing gamers) or numb buttocks while you frantically pummel bosses, you’ll be happy to hear that we’ll soon be offering longer PS3 charger cables to our readers. Yes, extended PlayStation 3 play and charge cables so you can sit wherever you like in that living room or bedroom of yours! We’ll keep you updated on the release of our extended PlayStation 3 charger cable. Also check out our new Cheaper PS3 Accessories section. D4Gameplay will soon not only offer more affordable versions of popular accessories, but improved ones too!...

Final Fantasy VII Remake: Our Thoughts On Development

I often cast my mind back to that moment when I first unwrapped the bulky case of Final Fantasy 7. I knew I was in for a treat but I had no idea about the hours of gameplay and mini-games that awaited. Square sure went to town on FF7, so much so that it didn’t only raise the bar for RPG’S, but for every game released thereafter. ————————————————————————————————————- More Recent, Related Articles – Square’s Next-Gen Final Fantasy VII Remake ————————————————————————————————————- It was a particular gaming event that unleashed a certain “technical demo” that had the globe chatting, posting and Tweeting with excitement. The opening of the classic Final Fantasy 7 had been remade with PS3 visuals! At this point, we all were certain that Final Fantasy 7 was being remade…but years later…we’re still waiting. We’ve all been feed encouraging and disappointing news, ranging from directors wanting nothing more than a remake, to woes about development time and huge development predictions. Over the past few years all Final Fantasy 7 fans have had their prayers answered and their dreams crushed. So what’s going on? Final Fantasy VII – A remake too good to leave on the bench No matter how much more disappointing news we’ll receive, one thing is for certain…you’ll see a remake of Final Fantasy 7. How are we so sure of this? Simple. The game pretty much prints money for Square. A game of that standard and popularity could never be ignored and while Square still make money from spin-offs and prequels you can bet cash bags that a remake is on their development list (but it’s just missing any form of development milestone). Do you honestly think that every email request, written request or forum suggestion totally passes by the development team? Of course not! They know how popular a Final Fantasy 7 remake would be....

PSN PlayStation 2 Classics: Yakuza and Yakuza 2

After recently posting the great news of PlayStation 2 Classics hitting the US PSN, we thought we’d recommend a few other classics that should join them. Our first recommendation is for the Japanese brawler, Yakuza. With Yakuza 3 and Yakuza 4 on the shelves, why not re-release the first two games as PSN PlayStation 2 Classics? Yakuza 3 was an incredible experience. It offered a fantastic journey through Japanese culture with a very entertaining real time and quick time fighting system. The character development was superb and the story was well crafted and immersing throughout. To us, Yakuza 3 is one of the only games where you feel a genuine threat from its villains. In order to create a believable and worthy hero, you must first create a worthy villain. Yakuza 3 is one of the best examples of this. Although the 3rd installment was an absolute masterclass in story telling and character development, many PS3 gamers had never played the first two Yakuza installments. There’s nothing worse than being left in the dark and sometimes quick movie or comic-like recaps just don’t cut it. The solution to this problem? Simple. Release the PlayStation 2 versions of Yakuza and Yakuza 2 on the PSN PlayStation 2 Classics section! Players can not only relive the back story to the amazing Yakuza 3, but even learn more and relate better to the cast if they never experienced the originals. With just about every developer re releasing their classics as HD 360 and PS3 remakes, Yakuza games seem the best bet from an ever decreasing ps2 classics list. Fingers crossed!...
